Hello there,

As I had explained in my presentation, I live in Belgium (so I only speak french and english) and for now I am restoring a Cappra 125 VB.

I bought the bike without the motor wich I found some month later in Portugal. The motor is a VE, it was mounted on a karting so the exhaust is not the good one but the motor seems in good condition.

When the motor arrived at home, I noticed that the cylinder was at 56mm :shock: So I found a new cylinder and a new piston in USA but as you would see, the cylinder need a little fix on the intake

Nice work!

If I'm not wrong (but I'm not an expert in motocrossers) the 125 VE's engine and exhaust are very similar to the VA and VB series. Maybe you'll be able to find one of them with a little patience. These bikes were not very popular in Spain compared to the 250's, and it's sure you'll need some time to get a decent unit.

Si no estoy equivocado (pero no soy un experto en crosseras) el motor y el escape de la VE 125 son muy parecidos al de las series VA y VB. Tal vez seas capaz de encontrar alguno de ellos con un poco de paciencia. Estas motos no fueron muy populares en España comparadas con las 250, y seguro que necesitarás algún tiempo para encontrar una unidad decente.

125 Motors almost the same, some parts are different as the clutch cover, the kick starter,...

For exemple, the VA kick mechanism is quite the same as the cota 123, the VB and VE are similar to the cota 200.

I found a Cappra VE exhaust, but if it looks the same, it is not. The VE and VB frame are different above the airbox, so in doubt I didn't bought it.

Now I'm looking for an original translucent front fender, to fit with the rear whose is in good shape ;) Otherwise I'll buy 2 news from dcplatics.

Do you know a way to improve reliability of the motor?

Les moteurs de cappra 125 sont presque identiques, à quelques détails pret comme les carters d'embrayage, ou le kick,...

Par exemple, le mécanisme de kick de la VA est identique à celui de la cota 123, celui de la VB et VE sont identique à la cota 200/

J'ai trouvé un échappement de cappra VE, il y ressemble très fort mais après avoir comparé avec un VB ils sont légerement différent au niveau de la boite à air.

Je suis à la recherche d'un garde boue original, vu que mon garde boue arriere est en bon état. Sinon je vais devoir acheté 2 neufs sur dcplatics.
